My work is an exploration of human beauty, emotion, and cultural identity through portraiture. As an artist from Uzbekistan, I specialise in painting portraits that capture the unique essence of individuals from diverse backgrounds. Through my art, I want to reveal the universal beauty in human diversity while also paying homage to the rich traditions of Uzbekistan. My paintings often blend realism with emotional depth, inviting viewers to look beyond the surface and connect with the unspoken narratives within each subject.
Beyond my artistic practice, I am a mother of two children who remain in Uzbekistan – a fact that deeply influences my work. The separation from them has intensified my focus on themes of longing, resilience, and the silent struggles faced by women in patriarchal societies. My personal experiences, combined with my observations of Uzbek traditions and gender dynamics, fuel my desire to create art that speaks to both cultural pride and social reflection.
